WHAT IS TEDX?

In the spirit of discovering and spreading ideas, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxChittagong University, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxChittagong University event, TED Talks videos and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

ABOUT THE EVENT

TEDxChittagong University is a university-based TEDx event created for students, educators, professionals, alumni, and people in Chittagong who want to sit with strong ideas in a live room. The event follows the TEDx format: live speakers, selected TED Talks videos, and conversations that continue beyond the auditorium.

The 2026 edition carries the theme Rising Beyond. It is not a separate campaign slogan; it is the lens for the stage, the speaker curation, the attendee experience, and the kind of stories this campus wants to host.

Sadman Sakib

Organizer / Licensee

Sadman Sakib is the organizer and licensee of TEDxChittagongUniversity. His journey from a small local school to wider experiences across Bangladesh shaped his interest in storytelling, photography, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

Along the way, he built a professional photography practice and later launched his own business. He is currently studying BBA in Marketing at the University of Chittagong while balancing academics, creative work, and business responsibilities.

Muntasir Ahmed

Co-Organizer
Director at Arora Eco Ventures Ltd., Chittagong, Bangladesh

Muntasir Ahmed is the co-organizer of TEDxChittagongUniversity and an undergraduate at the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. He believes strong ideas and open communication can create positive change and helps create spaces where young people can learn from different perspectives and build meaningful connections.

Alongside his TEDx role, he directs the Dreamunteers Center and supports volunteer-driven programs focused on social development and community engagement. His work reflects a strong commitment to empowering youth in Bangladesh and helping communities grow.
